2-28-08. new music? yes! well, sort of.
Head on over to the MUSIC/SHOP page and you'll see some new stuff. The long out-of-print 'EP 1' is finally available again, digitally! We've also got the self-titled Sea Ray (LP 1) and Stars at Noon available for immediate download. And the best part is that if you order a CD, you also get the digital download for FREE!
We also posted a previously-unreleased song, "Lashes" to our Myspace page (myspace.com/searay). It was recorded live at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. We've got a bunch of other hidden gems that we'll eventually put out there, as well.
In other news, the movie "Chalk" is now available on DVD. It features Sea Ray music in the opening credits and elsewhere in the film. It's a great movie and we highliy recommend checking it out.
Finally, be on the lookout for a new Coke commercial that features "Revelry" as the music. It's for the Coca-Cola Scholars program, which we think is a good cause. Look for it on American Idol and elsewhere.
2-22-07. howdy.
Hello and hi to everyone out there. It's us. All of us. We're still here.
We've just been hiding under the website, totally engrossed with gossip magazines. We decided to put them down long enough to post something here today.
Some of us have new jobs. Some have new facial hair. Some of us have gotten smarter. But it's still us.
Some people have been asking us about some music they're hearing on the tv as of late. Yes, that's us.
The song is "Revelry" from the "Stars at Noon" record. You can find it here.
That's it for now. We miss you and we love you.
Let's hang out soon, ok?
12-20-05. it's been a year.
It's been many months since we posted any news here, and for that we're sorry.
It was exactly one year ago today that we made a sad announcement on this site (scroll down if you missed the news). We just thought we'd mark the occasion by saying hello and wishing everyone happy holidays. We're doing well and remain close friends. Some of us are playing music with others, and some of us are playing music at home. But as we've said before, we really do miss playing together.
Thanks to all of you who continue to e-mail us with questions, supportive words, or nice memories of the band. It's always exciting hearing from brand new fans, but it's sad when we have to break the news that we're not playing any more shows.
So, that's all. There's not really any important news. We just thought we'd pop our heads out from under our winter hats and scarves to say thanks for continuing to be part of the Sea Ray family.

We're not entirely sure what Jordan is doing at the moment.
For those in the Atlanta area, stop by the Museum of Design Atlanta this August for their upcoming "Graphic Noise" concert poster exhibit. Jeff will have some posters on view, including some Sea Ray stuff.

DECEMBER 20, 2004 -- |
It's with great sadness and anticipation that we announce our final show: Friday January 21 at NYC's Mercury Lounge, with our friends The Mobius Band, Say Hi To Your Mom, and Challenger.
After nearly eight fantastic years, we've accomplished far more than we ever thought possible and met more great people than we ever expected. We've played in venues we only dreamed of, in cities we'd only read about, and performed alongside bands we've idolized and befriended.
Unfortunately, several factors have led us to the decision that we cannot continue. The biggest difficulty we've failed to overcome is the financial challenge of being in an independent band full-time while maintaining any semblance of a personal life, as well. We're each unwilling to carry on with the band if it's anything less than 100% of our effort, and we're simply unable to do that anymore.
Rest assured that we're parting on good terms and will remain close friends who will most likely collaborate on future projects. It's just that Sea Ray as we know it is now going away.
We're sorry to share this news with you, and if you're anywhere near New York in January, we do sincerely hope you'll come out to the show and let us thank you in person for your support over the years, and also help us celebrate all the amazing times we've been lucky enough to experience with the band.
Our website will remain up, and we'll post news on future projects as they develop.
Thank you all so much for everything. It means more to us than we can hope to express here.
Until next time,
Anne, Colin, Greg, I-Huei, Jeff, Jordan
